Shadow chevrons (also called ghost chevrons or ghost graphics) are reflective vinyl decals designed to match your vehicle's paint color. During the day, they blend in and are nearly invisible. At night, when headlights hit the reflective material, they illuminate bright white and become highly visible from hundreds of feet away. This provides a significant safety upgrade without altering your vehicle's daytime appearance.
Match the chevron color to your vehicle's paint. Order white for white vehicles and black for black vehicles — both reflect bright white at night. For other vehicle colors, colored shadow chevrons are available in red, yellow, green, blue, gold, fluorescent lime, orange, and purple.
Our black and white shadow chevrons use Oralite Rapid Air 5650 Fleet Engineer Grade reflective film — the best quality on the market. It features Rapid Air technology for bubble-free application. Colored variants use Nikkalite 48000 Type 1 ELG glass bead reflective material. Both are self-adhesive, outdoor-rated, and built to last 7+ years.
We offer multiple configurations: 4" x 64" and 6" x 64" with 4-inch stripe spacing, 4" x 70" and 6" x 70" with 2-inch stripe spacing, 3" x 50" compact panels, and police-style 6" x 12" 3-piece kits. All decals include both left and right slants on transfer tape. Every panel can be trimmed to your exact specifications with ordinary scissors.
Installation is straightforward and requires no special tools. Each decal arrives on transfer tape for easy positioning. Clean the application surface, peel the backing, align the chevron, and press firmly. The Oralite Rapid Air technology allows air to escape during application, preventing bubbles. Most installations take under 15 minutes.
When applied correctly to a clean, smooth surface, our shadow chevrons deliver approximately 7 years of outdoor durability. The reflective properties and adhesion remain strong throughout the product's rated lifespan, even through car washes, rain, UV exposure, and normal wear.
